Ability Gateway started with a simple idea: people grow when they're trusted to try.

Too much of the disability services sector is built to minimise risk at all costs, and in doing so, it can minimise opportunity too. We do things differently.

Our approach balances genuine care with genuine independence. We call this dignity of risk - the right to attempt something new, to make your own choices, and occasionally to get it wrong, because that's how everyone builds confidence and skill.

Our story

Ability Gateway exists to open pathways for people to grow, participate and live on their own terms through high-quality, ethical service.

Ability Gateway was founded in Wagga Wagga by Matt Charnock, who has spent years working directly with NDIS participants and families - first in support coordination, then in direct service delivery. That first-hand experience shaped how we built the business: outcome-focused, relationship-led, and never afraid to think outside the box to get a customer what they actually need.

As the business has grown, we've expanded into the Central West, bringing the same philosophy, genuine connection, capacity-building, and options rather than decisions made for you, to Support Coordination and Recovery Coaching in Orange, Bathurst and surrounds.

Our mission is to create pathways to greater independence by delivering purposeful, person-centred services that build confidence, strengthen capability and empower people with disability to live life on their own terms.

Through trusted partnerships, ethical practice and a belief in possibility, we help every individual participate more fully in their home, community and future. Together, we create opportunities, break down barriers and redefine what exceptional services can be.
